Ryton Gardens, the home of Garden Organic is an internationally famous tourist attraction as well as being the site of our headquarters. Ten acres of display gardens are managed entirely organically and all aspects of domestic horticulture are on show, including composting, pest and disease control, fruit and vegetable production, herbs, roses, lawns, shrubberies and herbaceous plantings.
A large conservation area includes native trees, a wildflower meadow and lake, and wildflowers are also much in evidence as part of the landscaping and in a backgarden setting in our RSPB Wildlife Garden. Other interesting features include the Paradise Garden (a memorial to Geoff Hamilton), a bee garden, living willow structures and, newly opened in 2003, The Vegetable Kingdom visitor's centre.
