Economics & Marketing

Introduction

The economics, marketing and policy team are a team of researchers, within HDRA’s research department, whom work on the areas of economics, marketing and policy predominately in organic horticultural (fruit and vegetables) systems.

Our aim is to improve the information, knowledge and understanding of the economics, resource use, market, food chains and socio-economic impact of organic horticultural food chains in order to improve their sustainability.

We currently work on a range of projects funded by DEFRA, the EU, HDRA members, and Coventry University. We collaborate with many other institutions including: The University of Wales, Elm Farm Research Centre, Warwick HRI, ADAS and Coventry, Exeter and Leeds universities. We are keen to work with others.
