Basic rotation: rotation planned in 8 main fields is 8 years, Maize, winter wheat, 2 years red clover/Italian rye grass, spring barley undersown with white clover (4 years). Some areas of rotational leys which will be 5 years ley and a 1 year winter wheat break
Enterprises: 250 cows. Land is in a grass/arable rotation with all arable crops whole cropped to feed cattle
Prior land use: conventional dairy farm
Weeding equipment: has a grass harrow, Simpka 6 row inter-row hoe, a Connor rotary topper
Business: 1 farm manager and 3 full time staff
Marketing: only market is organic cheese to Sainsbury
