Soil type/aspect: clay loam grade III, very fine particle size, water drains very slowly
Basic rotation: 3 years red clover and hybrid rye grass, wheat, triticale, autumn beans back to grass. Most perennial rye grass and white clover
Enterprises: dairy cows, young stock (300 cows). Grass and some arable for feed
Prior land use: conventional dairy, with grass and cereals
Weeding equipment: has an Einbok harrow comb (this been mainly used to establish grass, but some raking of chickweed)
Business: family partnership. Two full time on farm and one person for 6 months
Marketing: milk sold to OMSCo
