Soil type/aspect: soil type is clay. Site is fairly flat with mainly N facing fields
Basic rotation: 6-7 years of grass and white clover (now trying to include some red clover in re-seeds for higher productivity in 1st year ley), winter oats
Enterprises: single suckler beef, 190 calves through to cows. Have 100 breeding ewes. Winter oats grown for feed
Prior land use: conventional dairy
Weeding equipment: 6 m Einbok harrow comb, a Bombas rotary 5ft rear mounted topper than needs replacing. Have some lazy dog tools
Business: 1 full time farm manger. Contractors for silage and harvesting
Marketing: oats go for feed, meat through OLMC and some direct from the farm
