Basic rotation: 5 years, 3year grass/clover ley (may extend this to 4 in some fields), spring wheat, second cereal (or possibly whole crop) this undersown with g/c ley. Have 2-4 ha (5-10 ac) of herbs. 200 ha (80 ac) in arable crops, 15 ha (6 ac) of permanent grass
Enterprises: cereals, milling and feed, dairy has just closed, 100 head of suckler and finisher beef, some dairy followers
Prior land use: mixed dairy and cereals
Weeding equipment: has an Einbok harrow comb, rotary mower, spades and makes good use of cultivating equipment
Business: 2 full time partnership. Contractors do all silage cutting and hedge cutting
Marketing: all wholesale. Trying to start a box scheme for beef sales
