Each year we run a competition to celebrate the achievements of schools in their garden. It doesn’t matter how large or small the space, how much or how little you grow. What does count is the amount of enthusiasm, effort and learning that occurs.
Dish the Dirt!"How does your garden grow 2009?"
We know you’ve been getting your hands dirty and working hard in your school gardens and we want to hear all about it…
Send us reports including details about:
- Who has been involved in the organic school garden
- What changes/developments have their been
- What has grown and what hasn’t
- How produce has been used
- Links between the garden and the curriculum
- Success with Heritage Seed Library Seeds
- Participation in Garden Organic Members Experiments
- What young people have learnt and how they have benefited from participating in growing projects.
Entries can be sent in any time until the 30th of September 2009.
How does your garden grow? This can be sent in any format; a garden diary written in a literacy lesson, or digital photographs edited and captioned in ICT, or any other ways you can think of?
