Garden Organic for Schools Appeal

There's a growing food crisis in our schools. Now we need your help to tackle it head on.
Many children around the UK simply don't know where their food comes from. They eat more and more processed and fatty foods which, combined with a lack of exercise and little outdoor play, means levels of obesity and ill-health are on the rise.
Garden Organic is working hard to reverse this trend. Will you make a donation online today to help our Garden Organic for Schools programme grow?
Julie Lilly is an assistant teacher from Sutton Coldfield Junior School who assists with the gardening project we helped them establish. She says: “From Year 3 to Year 6, every single child has been out into the garden... Importantly, the children have started to take a real interest in the food that they eat and become a bit more adventurous.”
We urgently need to raise £45,000 within the next four months if we are to reach another 1,000 schools this year.
Will you make a donation towards our work today and help us do just that?
With your support, we can work with many more schools to:
Garden Organic currently works with over 5,500 schools in the UK, delivering our low-cost education programmes. The children we work with are learning about where food comes from, they're learning about gardening and they're developing a taste for the outdoors.
- Give children a lifelong store of knowledge on healthier food choices
- Inspire children to grow their own food, so they can understand and practice sustainable living
- Help children care for the environment and combat climate change by choosing a diet that's lower in processing and food miles
- Encourage children to get outdoors and enjoy the natural world around them
- Incorporate food education into the curriculum.
Please help by making a donation today. It will make a huge and lasting difference to many, many children – you'll find a few examples of what we can achieve here.
If you prefer to give over the phone, call 02476 308 210.
Be assured we will put your donation to use wherever it can do the most good.
