Garden Tour - 11th December at 11:45am
Join us for a tour of our inspirational organic demonstration garden to learn how to cultivate your own thriving organic, sustainable growing space.
Work began on our new garden in early Spring 2020 with plans to open in the Summer, however, due to the pandemic development of the garden was delayed. We're delighted that we have been able to open our garden to members and visitors throughout the summer.
Our garden features several unique areas including a large glasshouse and polytunnel, a four-bed veg garden following a crop rotation, a no-dig system trial area, and a container garden space.
As we move into winter, the garden will go into a transitional phase and the garden team will begin to prepare the ground for the next growing season. This will include choosing suitable vegetable varieties to fill the hungry gap, planning the crop rotation, preparing all of the beds, demonstrating the benefits of green manure, and turning the compost, plus much more.
The tour will last approximately 45 minutes, with time afterward for you to explore the garden - we recommend wearing clothing and footwear suitable for the outdoors.
Light refreshments including mince pies, and warm spiced mulled beverages will be available from 10am – 12.30pm. We look forward to welcoming you.
Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please book your tour here
