9:30am to 1:00pm

Are you thinking of growing your own veg? Do you want to refresh the skills you already have and introduce the principles of organic growing into your garden?

We will give you the confidence to start growing your own veg organically with our half-day introductory course. This course will teach you everything you need to do and buy to get you on the path to enjoying your own delicious home-grown food while caring for your environment.

The main focus of this course will be on how to get going with your garden, and we’ll cover all the basic organic principles around composting, managing pests and diseases, crop rotation and attracting beneficial wildlife. We will be using our gardens to demonstrate these ideas in action and can answer any questions you may have.

As part of the course there will be a short practical growing skills session, and there will be something of a seasonal nature for you to take away and add to your organic garden.

This course is ideal for the beginner to intermediate gardener.
