Course overview

A mixture of theory and practice, this is a great course for anyone looking to learn the basics of how to prune a variety of small trees and shrubs, for shape, improved flowering and fruit production.

Pruning can sometimes seem overly complicated, so an important part of this course will be to discuss the main principles and boost confidence levels. The course will also include a practical session, taking delegates outside to the orchard at Ryton Organic Gardens to put into practice what has been covered earlier in the day. You will get to take fruit tree management and a pruning basics factsheet home with you.
