Course overview
Our wonderful wormeries workshop is completely hands on and will explore what a wormery is, the environment composting worms need and the role that they carry out.

A typical tier-system wormery can cost anywhere in the region of £60, however it’s very simple to make your own and we’ll show you how!

Not only will you make your own wormery to take home, but you’ll also learn how to look after your wormery and the function of worms in composting. We will also give you guidance on what to do with the end product - you’ll be amazed at the results, a rich, organic compost perfect for your garden!

We will also show you the different types of wormeries here at Ryton to help demonstrate how they work and how your home composting can be expanded.

All materials are included to make your own desktop/home wormery within the price of this workshop. Please note dependant on the size of the group it may be necessary to make the final touches to your wormery at home.
