Ryton Organic Gardens

Garden Organic has been awarded a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence for our headquarters, Ryton Organic Gardens.

“We were thrilled to be awarded this Certificate of Excellence,” commented Steve Thomson, Garden Organic’s Operations Director.

The gardens are held in high esteem by the charity and our supporters, so it’s great to hear that this is reflected by our visitors too.”

"With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honors hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers,” said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor. “TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travelers feel more confident in their booking decisions.”

Since opening its doors to the public in July 1986, Garden Organic has been welcoming visitors to Ryton Organic Gardens, on the outskirts of Coventry, to learn about the virtues of organic growing. The demonstration gardens were the brainchild of the charity’s founder, Lawrence D Hills, who was keen to show ordinary growers that organic gardening was achievable by anyone within any size of growing space.

The gardens are spread over eight acres, and include individual themed gardens such as the Paradise Garden – created in memory of well-known organic grower, Geoff Hamilton – the Exotic Garden and the Allotment Garden. Ryton Organic Gardens is also the home of Garden Organic’s pioneering seed conservation work, the Heritage Seed Library.
