Scottish growers turn out in force at Gardening Scotland

Gardening Scotland

At the end of May we attended Gardening Scotland at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh, supported by a team of enthusiastic members. The show gave us a great opportunity to talk about the work of the charity, encourage more people to grow organically and invite new people to support our charitable work by becoming members.

Despite the cold and windy weather, almost 33,000 people visited the three day show, and many stopped by our stand in the Living Garden area to say hello.

The show gave us a great opportunity to talk about organic growing in Scotland, including the specific challenges growers face in that part of the world. We also discussed the role Garden Organic can play in supporting members, organic groups and likeminded organisations in the region.

We hope all those who visited enjoyed the show, and would like to say a big thank you to the team of members who came along to help; without members supporting us at events across the country we simply wouldn’t be able to get our messages out as far and wide as we can.
