Freer's Mummy Pea
Named after our donor who first saw these peas as a child. Originating from the garden of Lord Carnarvon and passed to the family by a friend and former gardener at Highclere Castle. They are reputed to be peas from Tutankhamun's tomb. They are a very tall (>2m), vigorous, white flowered variety requiring sturdy staking to support the exceptionally large crop of pods produced. The peas are tender, delicious and freeze well.
