Tour our Heritage Seed Library

Our Heritage Seed Library is at the heart of our seed conservation work - and holds the National Collection of Heritage Vegetables. Get exclusive behind-the-scenes access on this tour, which will take you to our working spaces to reveal how and why we grow heritage varieties for seed.

You can explore our polytunnels and outdoor beds to see the methods we use to isolate and pollinate crops to ensure varieties are conserved 'true-to-type' for future generations. And introduce you to a few of the unique and unusual varieties in the collection, as well as provide a sneak preview of our growing trials of recently rediscovered heritage varieties.

We'll share some easy - and difficult - seed-saving techniques, alongside tips for hand-pollinating and seed cleaning, to get you started on your own seed-saving adventure.

The tour exceeded my expectations - taking us through the whole process from growing and pollination to seed saving
