If you are a UK taxpayer, every £1 you give can become £1.25 to us at no further cost to you.
How it works
When you complete a Gift Aid declaration with us, we can reclaim the tax on your donations and eligible membership subscriptions. We will also be able to reclaim the tax on any donations you have made in the last four years and any donations you make in the future.
For every pound that you give, we can claim an extra 25p from HMRC – all at no cost to you.
What to do now
If you are about to support us with an online donation or membership subscription - simply tick "yes" to Gift Aid before you make your payment.
If you are already a supporter, you can send us an email via the Contact Us form with the suggested following wording:
(Please note that it must include your first name, surname, the first line of your home address, and postcode).
Please treat as Gift Aid donations all qualifying gifts of money made from the date of this declaration and in the past four years. Yes, I am a UK taxpayer and I would like Garden Organic to treat all donations I have made for the four years prior to this tax year, today, and all donations I make from the date of this declaration as Gift Aid donations, until I notify you otherwise.
I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

How it adds up
The table below shows how much Garden Organic can claim back in Gift Aid. This extra money can make a huge difference to us.
Do you qualify for Gift Aid
You qualify for Gift Aid just as long as you pay enough UK income tax and/or capital gains tax to cover the amount of tax we will reclaim in the tax year.
You do not need to declare this information on a tax return if you are a standard-rate taxpayer and do not receive a tax return from the Inland Revenue. However, if you do receive a tax return, you must declare the information.
Your declaration is valid for all donations that you give until you cancel it; you do need to let us know if you change your address, change your name, or cease to pay UK tax.
For family memberships, the name you give us on the Gift Aid declaration must be the individual payer (and UK taxpayer)'s name.
Please also let us know if you do not qualify or simply do not wish to make a Gift Aid declaration with us.
