• How to recognise beneficial creatures and boost diversity in your garden.

• Discover ways to meet common challenges without resorting to toxic chemicals.

Session overview:

Many people have an idea of what organic means but may be unsure of how to put these principles into practice in their everyday growing. Organic growing is more than just ‘growing without toxic chemicals’, it’s a holistic approach that works with natural processes to create an environment where your crops will thrive.

By the end of this talk, you’ll have a better understanding of working with nature rather than trying to fight it, so you can enjoy your growing space and minimise your impact.

Session leader: Dr Anton Rosenfeld

Research manager Anton has been with Garden Organic for more than 20 years. His work has included projects with commercial field-scale growers to small-scale community gardens and allotments. He has worked as a grower, run many training courses, and regularly writes for gardening magazines, including our own Organic Way members’ magazine. He has a passion for soils, composting and growing veg from a wide range of cultures.

It’s rare to leave a course feeling inspired, excited and having learned so much that you want to get to work straight away!
