Green Wonder

This ex-commercial variety was submitted by Clucas seed merchants, as Clucas Green Wonder, for inclusion in the Wisley Summer Cabbage Trials in 1966. It was included in the 1972 UK National List, but disappeared soon after. Produces large, solid, crisp heads with green outer leaves, but when the heads are halved the crisp inner layers are much paler and almost white.
