Dwarf French Bean
Vermont Cranberry
This heirloom from New England, USA, dates back to before 1876.
Ideal for British conditions, hardy and with good pest and disease resistance. It produces compact plants, though some staking may be required to prevent lodging, an abundance of attractive white flowers and small pods filled with beans that are cranberry-like in both shape and colour.
Can be eaten as pods, shelled beans or dried; at all stages they have a unique sweet flavour.
Sow to harvest 60-85 days (approx.)
