Pea
British Wonder
Donated to HSL by Seed Guardian Bob Catchpole this hardy, compact pea (60cm-1m) is exceptionally high yielding. Introduced in the UK by Taber and Cullen in 1890 and in the USA by W Atlee Burpee in 1904, listing it in their Annual in 1916. It produces white flowers followed by plump green pods. Seed Guardian Jo Walter describes them as “flavoursome and sweet”.
