Rosa Krone

Translating as Rose Crown, this very unusual Swedish heirloom was passed to us on behalf of the Corwen Community Garden, Denbighshire. It produces robust plants 1.2-1.5m in height and beautiful rose-pink and ivory flowers, the majority of which are borne at the top of the plants. The pods are perfect as mangetout, but can also be allowed to develop and fill, when the peas are deliciously sweet.
