This variety was acquired by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in 1910 to be trialled as a potential forage crop. It was also used, more recently, in research for seed-borne pea mosaic virus in the Netherlands. Produces tall (up to 1.8m) plants and white flowers followed by short, slightly curved pods.
