Pea

Veitch's Western Express

Originating from the famous Veitch Nursery, located in Exeter through the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries until being sold to St Bridget's Nurseries in 1969; this variety was specifically bred with local conditions in mind.

Growers in Exeter maintained this pea for many years before it was passed to us.

The hardy, tall plants (1.5-1.8m) produce white flowers and plump pods with up to ten delicious peas in each.
