Rhondda Black
Donated by Seed Guardian Adam Alexander, who was given this variety in 2007 by a keen attendee at one of his talks. He was told that they had been grown in gardens in the Rhonnda Valley for generations. After years of searching for the origins of this variety, Adam eventually traced it to a breeder who, it appears, developed it from a black-seeded sport of Enorma in 1967. In the 1980s he began crossing these new beans with Liberty, and later the HSL variety Jescott's/Jessop's Longun. The result was these beans!
