Black Sugarsweet

Our donor purchased seeds of this variety from a stall in Las Ramblas, possibly the most famous street in the heart of Barcelona. It has a very long, black-skinned, sweet root that keeps well, even in winter. The white flesh is firm with a sugary flavour and has been popular with HSL members when previously featured in the Seed List.
