Our full day Growing Winter Veg course helps you plan your growing space so that you can produce food all year round.
There’s more to winter than swedes and leeks. This course will introduce you to an array of exciting vegetables that are easy to grow and delicious to eat. Plus advice on when to sow and plant them out.
We also show you ways of getting around the ‘hungry gap’ period, with different methods of protected cropping, and clever choices of varieties that will extend your harvest and keep you in produce throughout the year.
Finally, we give guidance on how to look after your soil during the winter period.
What you need to bring: Suitable outdoor clothing & footwear.
