Introduction to seed saving - online webinar
Participants will learn how to save seed from tomatoes, peas, French beans, lettuce, and peppers (or other seasonal vegetables). Our webinar includes instructions on seed cleaning, drying and storage methods for these vegetable types. Seed cleaning demonstrations will include tomatoes, peas, French beans, lettuce and peppers.

Bring with you if you wish to join in at home:
- A tomato, pepper, dried peas or beans in pods.
- Labels and a pen/pencil
- A tray or two and a container for the chaff.
- Cutting board, sharp knife, spoon, sieve and a jam jar
Course Leader: Catrina Fenton
Catrina is Head of the Heritage Seed Library, managing the collection and supporting communities to share, grow and save seed through training, events and partnership projects. She has worked for Garden Organic for the last ten years and her previous roles have involved food growing programmes in schools and other communities.
Our webinar will have an informal, relaxed learning environment with plenty of opportunity for interaction. We will also provide a full set of notes and handouts.
