Our President & Vice Presidents

Our President and Vice-Presidents are passionate volunteers who advocate for organic gardening and horticulture practices. They are champions of our work, helping to raise awareness of how gardeners can halt biodiversity loss and look after our environment by using the organic principles.

President - Tim Lang

Tim Lang is currently Emeritus Professor of Food Policy at City University London's Centre for Food Policy. He was Professor of Food Policy at City from 2002 to 2021 and had founded the Centre in 1994 at Thames Valley University (now University of West London).

Vice-President - Jane Davidson

Jane Davidson is the new Vice–President of Garden Organic, Chair of Wales Net Zero 2035 and the author of #futuregen: Lessons from a Small Country - the story of how Wales became the first country in the world to legislate in the interest of future generations.

Formerly Director of Health Improvement for the Scottish Government, and president of the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society, Pam Whittle CBE is a life-long advocate for organic growing.
