    Maureen Rainey

    Maureen Rainey works for Kent Wildlife Trust, and runs talks and workshops in the Kent area. She has an RHS level 2 certificate in practical horticulture. She runs practical outdoor “workshop” style sessions for small groups of varying ages and abilities.

    Adam Alexander is a documentary producer of a number of food and gardening programmes. Horticulturist and for the last 30 years a seed collector with a library of over 500 rare, endangered, local, and heirloom vegetable varieties.

    Annette Gibbons OBE

    Annette Gibbons OBE has run a 200 year-old vegetable garden organically for 30 years. Her particular interest and the subject of her talk is in the relationship between gardening and health. Annette has written two cookery books on seasonal Cumbrian food and presented 4 series of Home Grown on ITV Border.

    George Pilkington is an ecologist, environmental educationist, researcher and inventor. George has created the award-winning Nurturing Nature Bumblebee Nest Box and Solitary Bee Observation Nest Box.

    Formerly head gardener of Trafford Hall for 11 years, Jo Dyer is an experienced organic gardener. She is now self-employed running workshops and learning events, offering consultations, mentoring and doing talks and lecturers.

    Richard is a social entrepreneur, currently helping charities and community groups with sustainable IT solutions. He is a certificated permaculture designer, former Garden Organic advisor, Prince 2 project manager, trained in horticulture at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

    Sally Smith is a lifetime professional gardener. Previously, Sally was Head of Information in the Advisory Department at Garden Organic. Trained in Horticulture from the RHS, Sally offers bespoke training and workshops on many topics, looking at practical skills and organic gardening methods.
