The compost demonstration area is part of a new section of the garden that was developed and officially opened in 2024, which also incorporates water saving and no dig beds with wide paths making it accessible to all.

This Compost Demonstration Site hosts a comprehensive range of composting systems, from the existing compost bays and basic dalek bins to newly introduced specialist compost bins such as a HOTBIN, Green Johanna and a tumbler as well as a Green Cone sited in the rhubarb bed which enables the nutrient rich food waste added to the bin to fertilise the surrounding crops.
