A garden in the forest, and a forager’s garden, Nant-y-Bedd creatively mixes vegetables, including perennial veg and heritage varieties, with wildflowers, ornamentals (often edible too) and a huge variety of trees.

It features a natural swimming pond, tree sculptures, stream and river and a meadow managed as woodland pasture for biodiversity. No-dig, polyculture, and permaculture practices inform the management throughout. Regenerative, planet-friendly gardening, and of the place. Lovingly nourished and nurtured over 45 years by Sue and Ian, this garden welcomes bees, butterflies and birds as much as it welcomes visitors.

For more information about visiting and workshops (including Compost and Managing the Wild Garden) and Foraging events, please see the website.
